On the first part of the journey
여행의 처음에서
I was looking at all the life
나는 모든 삶을 찾고 있었습니다.

There were plants and birds and rocks and things
그곳에는 식물과 새 그리고 바위들과 볼거리들이 있었습니다.
There was sand and hills and rings
그곳엔 모래와 언덕 그리고 울려 퍼지는 소리들이 있었습니다.

The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz And the sky with no clouds
내가 처음만난 것은 붕붕거리며 나는 파리였고 구름이 한점없는 하늘이었습니다.
The heat was hot and the ground was dry But the air was full of sound
열은 뜨겁고 땅은 메말랐지만 허공에는 소리로 가득했습니다.

I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
나는 이름이 없는 말을 타고 사막을 지나고 있었습니다.
It felt good to be out of the rain
그것은 비 밖에 있는것 같이 좋게 느껴졌습니다.

In the desert you can remember your name
사막에선 당신의 이름을 기억할 수 있습니다.
cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
왜냐하면 그곳에서는 당신에게 고통을 주는 사람이 아무도 없기 때문입니다.

After two days in the desert sun
사막 태양속의 둘째날 이후
My skin began to turn red
나의 피부가 빨개지기 시작했습니다.

After three days in the desert sun I was looking at a river bed
사막 태양속에서 셋째날 이후에 나는 말라버린 강바닥을 쳐다보고 있었고
And the story it told of a river that flowed
저기 흐르던 강물이 말해준 이야기는

Made me sad to think it was dead
죽어있어서 나를 슬프게 했습니다.

You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
당신은 내가 이름이 없는 말을 타고 사막을 지나고 있는것을 봅니다.
It felt good to be out of the rain
그것은 비 밖에 있는것 같이 좋게 느껴졌습니다.

After nine days I let the horse run free cause the desert had turned to sea
아홉째날 이후에 나는 사막이 바다로 변했기때문에 말을 자유롭게 풀어주었습니다.
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
그곳에는 식물과 새 그리고 바위들과 볼거리들이 있었습니다.

There was sand and hills and rings
그곳엔 모래와 언덕 그리고 울려 퍼지는 소리들이 있었습니다.
The ocean is a desert with its life underground
바다는 땅속에 살아있는 사막이고

And a perfect disguise above
위쪽에는 완벽한 위장입니다.
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
도시 아래에는 땅에서 만든 심장이 놓여 있지만

But the humans will give no love
사람들은 사랑을 주지 않을것입니다.
