그는 전설적인 재즈와 블루스 맨인 Joe Turner와 Jimmy Reed의 영향을 받아

 

아메리칸 블루스와 컨트리를 접목해서보다 진화된 루트 록을 선보였습니다.

 

 

1978년도에 발표한 앨범 ‘Second Wind’와 1980년도의 앨범 ‘The Jealous Kind’로

 

많은 팬들의 주목을 받았던 그는 2001년에 출시한 앨범 ‘Nothing Personal’와

 

2005년도 앨범 ‘Cost Of Living’으로 2번이나 그래미상을 받기도 했지요.
