백인 블루스의 거장 알빈 리는 1960년대 말부터 70년대 초까지 활동했던

영국 밴드 Ten Years After의 리더였는데 힘있는 핑거링과 음의 정확성은

타의 추종을 불허하는 기타리스트이다.

코드를 짚는 왼손의 손목힘이 엄청나다는 Alvin Lee는 경이적인 핑거링으로

Woodstock Live에서 Jimi Hendrix와 함께 전 세계의 음악팬들을 놀라게 했었다.

 

'74년 그룹 해체 이후 솔로활동을 하면서 보여주는 음악적 성향은

70년대 중반이후 A0R(성인 취향의 부담없이 즐길 수 있는 록)으로 변해버려

다소 실망감을 안겨주기는 하지만 그의 음악적 근간이 블루스에 있음은 변함 없다.

이 곡은 원래 전작 1994년에 처음 실려 있지만 이듬해 컴필레이션 형식으로 발매된

'Pure Blues(1995)'에 수록된 곡으로 더 잘 알려진 곡인데

 

사랑하는 사람이 떠나버린 후 공허하고 허무해진 삶은
