스팅(Sting)의 Shape Of My Heart는 레옹의 OST입니다.

레옹은 1994년 9월 14일 개봉한 프랑스의 스릴러 영화이고

뤽 베송 감독의 작품이며 뤽 베송이 각본까지 맡았습니다.

 

 주연 배우로는 장르노(살인청부업자 역활)나탈리 포트만(마틸다 역활)

게리 올드만(형사,스탠스필드 역활)입니다.

미국에서는 <더 프로페셔널>이라는 제목으로 개봉되었고

한국에는 1995년 2월 8일에 개봉했습니다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

레옹의 OST Shape Of My Heart를 부른Sting(스팅)은

 1951년 출생한 영국의 싱어송라이터입니다.

 

1977년부터 그룹 폴리스의 멤버로 이름을 알렸으며 1984년에 솔로로 데뷔,

광고,영화에 사용된 히트곡들을 발표하면서 국내에도 두터운 팬층을 두고 있고

현재까지도 정규 앨범을 발매하는 등 꾸준한 활동을 펼치고있습니다.

 

2002년에는 작곡가 명예의 전당에 올랐습니다.

1984~2004년까지 총 11회의 그래미상을 수상했고,

2002년에는 CBE 훈장을 받았습니다.

 

사실 저는 레옹 OST로 알게된 스팅 자체도 좋지만 폴리스의 보컬로 활동했던

 스팅을 더 좋아합니다..바로 Every Breath You Take 때문이죠.

Shape Of My Heart는 블로그 접을때 롤링스톤즈 포스팅이랑 같이

끝으로 올리려고 마음 먹었는데..ㅠ 이웃분의 추천으로 미리 올리네요*^~^*

 

CBE: 대영 제국 훈장.

1917년 영국의 왕, 조지 5세가 설립한 기사단 훈장.

시민,군인, 두 분야로 나뉘어 주어지고 각각 동일하게 5등급으로 정해져있으며

등급마다 주어지는 최대 인원수는 정해져 있습니다.

Sting이 받은 CBE 훈장은 3등급.

 

그래미상:그래미상은 미국 음반 예술 산업에서, 음반 분야에크게 업적을 남긴 인물에게 수여하는 상입니다.

1년에 한번 열리는 시상식이고 음악 분야에서 미국 최고의 상으로 꼽히며

팝~클래식 등의 음악을 포함, 총 200개가 넘는 부문으로 나뉘어져 시상합니다.

 

원래는 "그래모폰상"이라고 불렀고, 그래미상은 1959년 처음 시작되었습니다.

최근에는 2011년 2월 14일에 53회 시상식이 열렸습니다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sting(스팅)이 속해있던 그룹 폴리스는 1978년 영국 런던에서

각자 뛰어난 음악적 경력을 자랑하던 3명의 아티스들이 만나 만들어진 그룹입니다.

 

그룹명은 폴리스(경찰)이라는 의미가 사회의 질서를 바로잡는 아주 중요한 직업이라는데서

만들어졌습니다.(음악계의 질서를 바로잡겠다는 뜻)

1979년 데뷔 앨범 "Outlands D'Amour"을 발매했고 사람들의 관심을 가졌습니다.

 

앨범의 곡들의 새로운 사운드가 기존의 음악과는 색다른 리듬이었기 때문입니다.

후에도 앨범은 록큰롤을 베이스로 만들어진 신선한 사운드를 구사했고

록계의 사람들에게 시선을 끌만한 작품들을 내놓았습니다

 

아쉽게도 1985년 멤버들은 음악적 견해 차이로 그룹이 해체됩니다.

그리고 Sting(스팅)은 그를 빼놓고 폴리스라는 그룹을 논할 수 없을정도로
